Casino Marino and Castletown House day trip
Saturday May 28th 2011 where we will be given a guided tour of Casino Marino, one of the finest 18th century neo-classical buildings in Europe, followed by lunch and another guided tour of Castletown house, Ireland’s largest and earliest Palladian style house.
For anyone interested in design and history these are a must.
Attendance is limited to IA members, both design and corporate, and guests. Please RSVP to info@theinteriorsassociation.ie as space is limited by 8th MAY 2011

Online and Social Media Marketing CPD
We are pleased to announce that Rita Tobin of T2 will be delivering our Marketing CPD, her focus will be online marketing with particular emphasis on Social Media Marketing. We are increasingly becoming more aware of this inexpensive and effective way to market our businesses, however do you have a cohesive social media strategy or policy. How do you run an ad campaign, how do all these mediums link up and ultimately how do get you measurable results such as boosted sales and raised business profile.

Project Management CPD lecture
Despite the ferocious weather on Saturday our CPD lecture on Project Management was very well attended. At this lecture Niall Meagher of Interactive Project Managers Ltd explained the advantages and disadvantages of different forms of contracts, the difference between Project Management, Management Contracting, Construction Management and the principles behind effective project management. He also treated us to some wonderful anecdotes from some of the well know developments that his company worked on.

Glam it up in the Ice Bar

'Grow with Us' Event
Spring is a time of growth and on the 22nd of April the Interiors Association celebrated reaching over 100 members. At the celebration, which was held in the Sycamore Club, Temple Bar, we showcased inspiring interiors from leading Irish photographers. Energy Efficient Lighting Design
Last year we gave and introduction to the principles of lighting design. This year's lecture built on that foundation and provided a comprehensive insight into current developments in energy efficient lighting design and technology.

Student/graduate information night
This event focussed on how best to start a career in Interior Design or Interior Architecture in Ireland. Four speakers, all with expertise in separate areas of Interior Design and Interior Architecure addressed issues such as how to prepare a portfolio, how to get invited for an interview and how to best to get where you want to go over the next 5-10 years.
