News from abroad

Our friend and former Committee Member, Lu Pan, has moved to Finland over the Summer and has been willing to share his insight on design from this beautiful country. His first update has reached us today:

Finnish design is well known for its simplicity and functionality. Every year, "Habitare", the biggest Finnish interior, furniture and ar fair, takes place at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre 12-16 September. If you want to know and see the latest and best of finnish design, "Habitare" is the pace to go to.

There are over 600 exhibitors participating in this year's event. The main attraction will be "Trash design". The concept behind this is to create something new and stylish by using trash.

"Habitare" is a design wonderland for all creative enthusiasts around the world. Check website link for all details on this event.

We like to hear from designers abroad. If you know of anyone who would be willing to share insights on design from the world, please do contact us!
